軍事用語 2010.05.16 (日)
2009年版、米国防総省編『軍事用語集』が届いた。

戦略と戦術の説明に見たことのないような語が並べられてる…どーゆーこと?!
見たとき、あれこれ別の用語集だっけ?と思ったけど、Operationの説明は変わってなかったからこれで合ってるんだよね。JP 1-02とか書かれてるし。

ネットのどっかにあるんだろうなと思ってたが、案の定http://www.dtic.mil/doctrine/dod_dictionary/に行けば閲覧可能。まあ、長く使うのは紙で欲しいから買ったんだけど。

Strategyで検索すると妙なのが2,3引っかかる。珍訳載せようにも載せられないぞw

全体的に最近流行の多国籍軍を意識しているのかな。


strategy - A prudent idea or set of ideas for employing the instruments of national power in a synchronized and integrated fashion to achieve theater, national, and/or multinational objectives.

National Security Strategy - A document approved by the President of the United States for developing, applying, and coordinating the instruments of national power to achieve objectives that contribute to national security.

National Military Strategy - A document approved by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for distributing and applying military power to attain national security strategy and national defense strategy objectives.

theater strategy - Concepts and courses of action directed toward securing the objectives of national and multinational policies and strategies through the synchronized and integrated employment of military forces and other instruments of national power.

campaign - A series of related major operations aimed at achieving strategic and operational objectives within a given time and space.

operation - 1. A military action or the carrying out of a strategic, operational, tactical, service, training, or administrative military mission.
2. The process of carrying on combat, including movement, supply, attack, defense, and maneuvers needed to gain the objectives of any battle or campaign.

operational art - The application of creative imagination by commanders and staffs - supported by their skill, knowledge, and experience - to design strategies, campaigns, and major operations and organize and employ military forces. Operational art integrates ends, ways, and means across the levels of war.

tactics - The employment and ordered arrangement of forces in relation to each other.

procedures - Standard, detailed steps that prescribe how to perform specific tasks.

techniques - Non-prescriptive ways or methods used to perform missions, functions, or tasks.

Military StrategyにNationalついてるし。一国の軍事戦略と多国籍の軍事戦略を分けてるのか?

あー、こりゃだめだwww
